with all the work in school i have not found much time to do my own personal things. These past two days ive taken the opportunity to break away and do something i wanted to do. With inspirations around the studio and frustrations life recently threw at me, i poured as much as i could in this painting. I know its not visually packed with emotion, but every mark i made was initiated with emotion.

rough and cleaned up backgrounds

These are 6 of the 17 backgrounds i have for my fourth year film, rough and cleaned up. Out of the 17 they were the ones with the most line mileage. Although they have been fine tuned with a crisp line i plan on having the final painted backgrounds lineless, in order to help my characters stand out.

business cards

With the blunt encouragement and great suggestions of my room mates and help from family, i made a business card for myself. Mainly because me and several of my classmates are attending TAAFI. Never been before, so i really don't know what to expect. I know industry professionals will be there but from what i hear its no industry day where they are scouting talent for the next big studio production. Regardless im looking forward to going and can't wait to see what the studios have to say and show :) Ive decided to go with my second pass, which is the cowboy with the gun.  Its no epic layout piece like the other. However, the dimensions being 2x3.5 simple seems best. It has all my info, a bit of story  and a QR CODE which leads to my portfolio. THANK YOU BIJAN,ED,JULIE AND RACH FOR YOUR HELP ON SUCH A SMALL BUT HUGE PROJECT! :)

character lock and update on film

Kid is finally locked and loaded. liked how he turned out. looking forward to test animating him. Currently playing with the leica. the previous leica is at 1 minute 30 seconds. Ive managed to get the new leica at 1 minute not including the end credits. Im taking in consideration that industry screening night will only give me 1minute, as well as how hard and long it takes to clean up these stills. My hope is to present quality work in that minute. Im going to put my all in that 1 minute/ 60 seconds :) EXCITED!

Saruman

Lord of The Rings a.k.a. one of my favorite movie trilogies.  One night me and my room mates decided to paint some of our favorite villains. My choice was Saruman. Had fun painting. Especially the drapery, manipulating it to lead the eye to the upper body.

its only been a few months into the year and it definitively has not been the easiest. However, with the support of family and friends i am trucking through the year. Thank you all for your support.
